Community of Christian Life

Seek and find God in all things.

This motto by Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order, shapes our spirituality. The spiritual exercises that he once developed are essential for us. This spiritual path of exercises can help you to come to terms with your life and make decisions in the spirit of Jesus Christ.

The CLC is an international community, active in more than 70 countries all over the world. Its diocesan community in Munich is currently composed of 17 smaller groups. It includes married couples and families as well as singles, young and old, longtime and new members.

Our regular meetings focus on different topics of our faith and lives. Let our offers appeal to you.

Executive Team

On June 30, 2021 we elected our new diocesan team. Dr. Marcus Volpert was elected spokesman. Monika Hirschauer (Ecclesiastical Assitant) and Selma Rippelbeck (Expert Consultant) are "born" members of the diocesan team.

Newsletter (Infobrief)

Several times a year we send out a newsletter with information about upcoming events and other news from our community. If you are interested in receiving these letters, please send an e-mail with a corresponding request to  muenchen(at)gcl.de , with "Infobrief" in the subject line.

CLC Service

We usually celebrate our service on the second Friday of every month at 19:00 (exceptions possible).

Currently these Eucharists take place in the high choir of St. Michael's. We sit in a circle around the altar. Free intercessory prayers or an open exchange about the lection resp. the gospel text are among the special features of these group services. Afterwards there is an opportunity to continue our discussions.
