Pastoral Council
As a co-designing and co-deciding body for pastoral activities in the church and in the centre, the ‘St. Michael Church Foundation’ has established a pastoral council since 2023. The Pastoral Council focuses on the ‘whole’ of St. Michael's and is responsible for the concretisation and implementation of the mission statement as well as its regular review and updating. It can propose suitable instruments for this purpose (annual planning, pastoral retreats, staff days and outings, celebrations). The pastoral council sees itself as a resonance and reflection body for the various groups and activities in the church and centre and establishes a culture of feedback to ensure the ‘quality’ of pastoral care.
The pastoral council is chaired by the church rector. The Jesuit community is represented by the Superior or another authorised Jesuit. The CLC and GLO each send a representative and contribute their respective competences. Further members are appointed from among the full-time employees and the voluntary services. The Head of Administration is a permanent guest at the meetings. The pastoral council can invite representatives of the various liturgical services or groups to its meetings. Furthermore, there is a regular exchange of information with the EBO's Urban Area Department and the Munich Old Town City and Tourism Pastoral Service.
Meetings of the pastoral council take place at least once a month. The church rector invites people to the meetings of the pastoral council in good time and submits an agenda. The church rector then informs the voluntary and full-time employees as well as the members of the church administration and the Jesuit community of the results of the consultations in an appropriate form.

Spiritual Direction
For Jesuits, "spiritual direction" is an important element of living in an active relation to God. It is an offer for women and men who want to live in a more conscious and fulfilled way, who want to make "more" of their lives. Many people yearn to see God's traces in their own lives more clearly and to follow their tracks.
