The ministry of communion assistants illustrates the idea of universal priesthood in a very special way. Communion assistants assist the celebrant during the Eucharist or other worship services in distributing Holy Communion. We share our communion, our communion with God and with each other. Therefore it is wonderful to have both women and men volunteering for this ministry at St. Michael's.
Usually we meet once a year for an evening of exchange and reflection: We get to know each other better and share our thoughts and experiences.
Der Dienst der Kommunionhelfer macht das gemeinsame Priestertum aller Gläubigen in besonderer Weise deutlich. Kommunionhelfer helfen in der Eucharistiefeier oder anderen Gottesdiensten mit, die heilige Eucharistie zu spenden. Gemeinschaft wird geteilt, die Gemeinschaft mit Gott, und untereinander. Daher ist es wunderschön, dass sich in St. Michael Frauen und Männer ehrenamtlich dafür engagieren.
Wir treffen uns normalerweise zweimal im Jahr zu einem Begegnungs- und Besinnungsnachmittag mit der Möglichkeit zum Erfahrungs- und Gedankenaustausch.
