Lectors proclaim the Word of God. In the celebration of the Eucharist and in other services, they recite the readings from the Sacred Scripture.  At the ambo they lend their voices and bodies to the "living Word of God." Their duties also include reciting the intercessions.

Since the words should reach not only the ears but the heart as well, thorough preparation and study of the text is necessary beforehand. To help and support our lectors in these tasks, we regularly organize trainings for them at St. Michael's, both individually and in groups.
