Confession

In and far beyond Munich St. Michael's is known as a confession church. Every working day the Jesuits offer you opportunities to talk and to receive the sacrament of penance.

» Confession during Holy Week

In the church:
Monday to Saturday 17:00–19:00
We offer opportunities to confess in the six confessionals inside the church. Two of them are furnished as consulting rooms in which you sit opposite your confessor. In the other four confessionals the penitent may choose whether to kneel before the lattice or to sit opposite the confessor.

At St. Michael's Center:
Monday to Wednesday, Friday 09:00–12:00
Two consulting rooms are available for confession and conversation at the Center. Just drop in at the specified times - no need to register beforehand. During school holidays, no consulting hours will take place at the Center.

Are confessions still in demand?

Grief Counseling

Sharing grief and sorrow is one of the most precious experiences in our lives. As people are grieving the death of a loved one, they require help from competent companions. Jesuit Community

In 1921 St. Michael's Church was again entrusted to the Jesuits for pastoral care.
