Robert Schlee studierte organ with Prof. E. Krapp, basso continuo with Prof. F. Winkelhofer and piano with Prof. Chr. Amtmann. Between 1995 and 2012 he served as full-time church musician at the pilgrimage church of St. Maria Thalkirchen in Munich. In 1997 he was named répétiteur and assistant at Chorgemeinschaft Neubeuern under Enoch zu Guttenberg and became a member of the KlangVerwaltung Orchestra Munich. Numerous engagements as a guest organist and harpsichordist document his activities with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Cappella Istropolitana, Süddeutscher Kammerchor and at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, among others. Since 2013 he has been working as a freelancer at his own request, both as a church musician and teacher.

Cantio Nova
New spiritual songs are created even today. Only a few of them have already found their way into the "Gotteslob" hymnal. Since May 2007 Cantio Nova has been feeding this rich treasure of new spiritual songs into the musical life at St. Michael's. About 40 singers form a polyphonic ensemble that frames one service a month together with an instrumental group - usually late mass (9:00 p.m.) on the fourth Sunday of the month, sometimes also the evening mass on Saturdays (6:00 p.m.). The congregation is always handed song sheets, because our goal is to sing in a way that invites as many people as possible to sing along.
Choir & Orchestra of St. Michael's
The choir and orchestra of St. Michael's have by far the longest and richest tradition of all the musical ensembles connected to our church. They can look back at a history that spans more than 400 years, starting with the consecration of the altars in 1592, which was accompanied by then maestro di capella Orlando di Lasso. Today the choir and orchestra are essential elements in the great concert of all musical ensembles at St. Michael's.
